Goes to Cannes

Festival de Málaga, with the support of the Junta de Andalucía, celebrates for the second year Málaga Goes to Cannes. Its aim is to promote the development of Andalusian audiovisual content and new forms of cinematographic expression, and to encourage their financing and international distribution. Five films in works-in-progress will be presented to industry professionals in collaboration with the Marché du Film.

HKIFF Industry offers filmmakers all-around services and windows to the world. From polishing up projects (Film Lab), finding production and post-production assistance (HAF), to showcasing work-in-progress works in international platforms (HAF Goes to Cannes), and on to planning the career of finished films (HKIFF Collection). HKIFF Industry also engages in co-production of films with third parties.

Queer Screen – based in Sydney, Australia is the country’s leading LGBTIQ+ screen culture organisation. They have been producing Australia’s premiere LGBTIQ+ film festival Queer Screen Mardi Gras Film Festival (Feb/Mar) since 1993. They also host a second festival Queer Screen Film Fest as well as offering completion funding and a pitching competition.

Spanish Screenings is a program that promotes Spanish cinema on a global scale. To adapt to the new challenges of the audiovisual industry, the program is receiving a renewed push with support from the Recovery, Transformation & Resilience Plan. The aim is to create an international market for Spanish-produced audiovisual content that fosters exchange and generates new projects, while also contributing to strengthening Spain’s role as Europe’s audiovisual hub. The Spanish Screenings program is centered on four pillars: Content, Financing & Tech, On Tour, and 360.

Started in 1997, the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival with the two sub-festivals, Just Film and PÖFF Shorts, has grown into one of the biggest film festivals in Northern Europe and busiest regional industry platforms. The 27th edition will take place from the 3th until the 19th of November, while the festival’s industry platform Industry@Tallinn & Baltic Event will run from 13th until the 17th of November.
